ASUS が、Windows 8 搭載のキーボード着脱式ノート Transformer Book T300 を発表しました。
これは先にお伝えした "Bay Trail" Atom Z3740 搭載機T100 の大型版で、10点タッチ対応13.3インチ フルHDディスプレイ(IPS)と、Haswell 世代のインテル Core CPU を搭載します。
ディスプレイ側は、厚さ11.5mm の筐体にUSB3.0 端子とマイクロHDMI 、LEDバッテリーインジケーターを搭載し、単体でWindows 8 タブレットとして使用できます。
カメラは前面720p、背面は1080p フルHD。ASUS のオーディオ技術 ASUS Sonic Master 採用のステレオスピーカーも搭載します。
キーボードドックの厚さは11mm。バックライトつきのフルサイズキーボードと、Windows 8 のジェスチャーに対応するマルチタッチ対応タッチパッドを備えます。
バッテリー駆動時間は最長8時間。重量は未発表ですが、参考までに前身モデルといえるTX300CA は、タブレット・キーボードドックともに950gです。
またASUSは、世界初の3 in 1 PC をうたうTransformer Book Trio も発表しています。これはAndroid タブレットと、Windows 8 を搭載する「PCステーション」キーボードドックをセットにした製品です。
タブレットは単体で使用可能ですが、PCステーションに挿すと、専用のTrioキーでAndroidとWindowsを切り替えながら使用することができます。その際、各OSのデータはタブレット側のストレージを使って共有します。
またPCステーションはミニ DisplayPort とマイクロHDMI端子を備え、市販のディスプレイと接続して単体のWindows 8 PC として使用することも可能です。そのため1人はタブレット側、もう1人はPCステーション側と、別々の場所で同時に使用することもできます。
タブレット側の主な仕様は、Android 4.2、マルチタッチ対応11.6インチ IPS フルHDディスプレイ、2コア インテルAtom プロセッサ。
PCステーション側は、Haswell 世代のインテルCore プロセッサ、Mini DisplayPort、Micro-HDMI 端子。
今のところTransformer Book T300、Transformer Book Trio ともに、発売日や価格について発表はありません。
